war.
i suddenly feel like blogging
sorry for the lack of post. ya this blog is gg to be dead soon. i will declare it dead when is time for it to go.
whenever i go to work i feel like i am going for war. we are considered as a frontliner both A&E and ICU. full PPE: gown, N95, scrub suit, gloves, and stuff. temperature taking, limiting visitors, no internship, stopped all orientation programme, prepare isolation rooms, tracking of staff and all staff on standby
now the alert is raised to orange. ward manager just called up and inform tat it is now raised to orange, be on standby and they will call us back if necessary.
Hospital is less crowded now. pharmacy and watson has run out of surgical mask. N95 and protective gear are running low. suspects of swine flu are admitted. some staff are on standby and will be deployed to CDC if needed. all staff to get vaccinated next week.
honestly it is quite a stressful period, cos we haven settle down in work and such things happened. haven finished orientation and now on standby. Now i understand the meaning of frontliner and the feeling of sars.
i have decided to wear home clothes to work or not i will be ostracize and also to leave my shoes in the locker. so i will just go to work, change to scrub and working shoes then change to home clothes and shoes when i go home. this will minimise bringing forbidden things back home. i also decided to have more rest and sleep and take more vit C. having cough and sore throat for the past one week.
Last and most importantly is to pray and seek God. May we live in His promise and peace. May his peace be with us even at times like this. May he grant us strength and courage. And may our faith be strengthened and not be shaken. " The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8
Father Lord keep all us safe and healthy. Amen.
