the loooooooooooooooooooooong flight

we took Northwest airline.
left Singapore at 6am and reached Philadelphia airport at 6.30am (singapore time) a total of 24.5hrs!!!
we transit at Tokyo Narita and Detroit.
Singapore to Tokyo
the flight from singapore to Tokyo is about 7hrs. the 3 of us sat together and we got our own personal entertainment. The flight there is ok lor, just that it is abit cold at one point of time.
we stayed at the tokyo airport for about 2 hours

Tokyo to Detroit
this is the worst flight of all. it is about 12 hours! is a super long flight and the worst thing is that i sat away from meijiao and yvonne cos there is no more 3 sits that are together. there is also no personal entertainment.
i sat beside a jap and a korean. throughout the whole flight i did not get off my seat. i never even go to the toilet.
the food is extremely HORRIBLE!!! when i tink about the food now i even feel like puking. the food is really really bad.
but thank God i was really tired. so i slept most of the time. i fall asleep even b4 the flight took off. when i woke up the aeroplane is already in the sky.
we stop over at the detroit airport for about 2 hours also. we spent some time clearing the checkpoint and finding our luggage.

Detroit to Philadelphia
this is the best flight, is only one hour plus and we got the window seat as the plane is small. and the scenery is really nice.

we took a cab from the airport to Dr wang's house. the cab cost about $32 plus tips. Dr Wang is a Taiwanese and she stayed here for quite long already
on the day we reached there is a party going on at the opposite house. without knowing anybody we just followed her into the house and got some food for dinner.
after dinner she showed us around the neighbourhood.
Airport.
My flight is at 6am and got to check in at 4am. it is really some weird timing. i didn't managed to sleep well the night b4. i think i onli slept for 1 hour!
the night before that i had dinner with my nursing friends, the main clique (eve, vivian, shi wei and nic). we went to lao ba sa and then LTF for starbucks. hehe.
they: wat time you going to the airport?
me: around 4am to check in.
they: you must go earlier lei. we left something in the airport for you. you must go collect k? we told the person you will be there at around 3 to 4am. so must go earlier. the thing is at the T1 pacific coffee. just tell the person you are angela kirk then the person will give you something. must go k. the thing very expensive!
so sorry we will not be able to send you off lei. cos we thought you flying the next day. but at least we made a trip to the airport after our tiring attachment.
me: ok ok!
i was so excited about the present. went home told my sister tell her that now cannot go so late le. actually planning to leave house at 3.40am but told them NO we got to go at 3.15am.
BUT as usual the angela's late syndrome. i onli manged to leave house at 3.35am? reached there around 3.55am. then i make my way straight to the cafe, went to the person told him my name.
at the back i saw my friends sneaking and bending down ( hey guys, the thing is semi transparent lar can see you all) but even though can see them it is really a GREAT SURPRISE! i really did not expect you all to be there! thanks man! then they got brownie for me. haha, as i always eat the brownie in sch.

i was really really touched! hehe. thanks once again!

hehe joseph drove my family. we took a cab and his car. cos he promise that if he pass his driving he will be fetching us there. haha thanks maN!
that day was also AARON'S 18th BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! one year older liao. last time you are so much shorter than me. now so talllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!

hello everybody!!!
this is my first entry in my 19 years.
never expected myself, Angela kirk to set up a blog. i always tell my sisters, setting a blog is so lame and troublesome. haha. and now i am doing it.
this blog is dedicated to my trip to Upenn:) no promise that this blog will be alive and updated after the trip.
thanks sab, for helping me make this blog. i did not do anything expect to choose the blog skin and the URL! haha. thanks so much sab:)

firstly, i wanna thank God for providing so much. He is really a great God and a God who provides. He provided me more than enough! Financially and emotionally. KKH sponsored me quite a lot and i too got a good ___ for 1 and a half months (some of you might know). emotionally, i got lots of encouragement and support from different ppl, esp at times when i am really stress! His plan is higher than ours and through this trip i also learned to trust in Him:)
next, thanks to the KIRKS and also my dear Mdm SOH! my dear family. hehe thanks for all your prayers. i know you all very worried for me also. thanks for helping me prepare for the trip. xie xie ni men.
